Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. If you email us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems create ordinary logs such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand general page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited technical data helps operate the reference, diagnose problems, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links lead to County and Oregon portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The policies of those providers govern information submitted after leaving this reference. The same is true for sponsored results supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server-log information for us. Analytics and advertising providers may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not share it beyond those functions.
Security Practices
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the needs described here. Because it has no user accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or user profile.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Oregon Privacy Choices
The Oregon Consumer Privacy Act, ORS 646A.570 through 646A.589, has applied since July 1, 2024 and may give qualifying consumers rights concerning personal data held by covered businesses. Because this reference keeps very little, a request normally concerns a contact message or technical log. Use the Contact page to make that request. Oregon, Jackson County, and Medford public records are held by independent custodians, so a correction, protection, or removal request for an official record belongs with the office that maintains it.
Policy Changes
Updates will appear here when the policy changes. Continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised policy.
